Seizing the Moment: Efforts Underway to Improve our Schools
The involvement of schools is crucial to any comprehensive effort to improve food and physical activity environments that help children and adolescents form healthy habits that can last a lifetime. These institutions can make a significant contribution to reversing the childhood obesity epidemic by enacting policies that encourage opportunities for physical activity and promote the availability and consumption of nutritious foods and beverages.
This webinar will discuss poll results that illustrate support for improving the quality of meals in schools, while highlighting work being done in California to make school wellness policies work.
